The Honda Urban EV Concept Is a Modern Take on a Retro-looking Car
Honda’s tiny Urban EV Concept Car is possibly one of the most talked-about cars revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show. While the high-tech vehicle is equipped with modern technology, it has a distinct boxy, vintage feel and is reminiscent of the Volkswagen Golf Mk1.
Here’s a closer look at what this EV looks like:
The concept model features rear-hinged doors and screens both inside and outside of the vehicle, which can even be used to display images and messages on the outside of the car. While these features might not all make it to production, the car is destined to hit the conveyer belt by 2019, according to Honda’s CEO, Takahiro Hachigo. You very well might encounter the Urban EV Car during your future career as an auto service advisor!

Audi Launched an Electric SUV Coupe, the Audi Elaine, Which You Might See During Your Career
The Audi Elaine is an all-electric SUV coupe that you might see roll into the shop during your future automotive service advisor career. When creating this vehicle, it’s clear the designers had power in mind. The Elaine is equipped with a solo electric motor that’s dedicated to the front wheels and two more dedicated to the rear. With its normal setting, the Elaine delivers 429 hp, but in a special boosted mode, it can deliver up to 496 hp. With enough speed to feel like a race car, the Elaine can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds. And to top it off, the Audi Elaine is equipped to drive completely autonomously and perform tasks on its own such as driving into a car wash or onto a parking ramp.
BMW Announced Two New Innovative Vehicles You May Encounter as an Auto Service Advisor
BMW showed off two futuristic vehicles at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The first is called the BMW Concept X7 iPerformance, a massive luxury SUV that seats six people in three rows. Its imposing exterior and large grille create an attention-grabbing appearance. However, despite its large size the X7 iPerformance is powered by a hybrid powertrain.
BMW also announced an electric vehicle called the iVision Dynamics Gran Coupe. With the intention of competing directly with the Tesla Model 3, it’s expected this concept car will be coming to dealerships as early as 2021.
