The last thing you’d consider stylish might be a minivan, but here’s the thing: they exist! From Chrysler to Honda, foreign and domestic auto makers are putting vitality and glamour into the exteriors of their minivans, and that’s great news for future car owners and auto body shops. The design on these minivans is great and the paint jobs are exquisite. They could even be something that recent grads of refinishing prep and auto body training look forward to working on.
Are you curious to know which minivans across Canada can wear the crown of most visually stunning? Read on to find out!
1. The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Gives Minivans Some Much Needed Pizzazz
The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, with its three unique L, Touring L, and Limited trims, has some pretty impressive exterior design features. For one, the front of the 2018 Pacifica is designed in such a way that it has fluid-looking headlamps and radiator grille—they seem to slide into each other! The look the optional S Appearance Package gives the 2018 Pacifica an even more stunning appearance. It will definitely get grads of auto body schools excited for the chance to work on one, with its meaner look and more aggressive front, all glazed in glossy paint.
2. The 2018 Honda Odyssey Is a Thing of Beauty
Honda upped the ante with this new iteration of the Honda Odyssey. Borrowing some of the features from its earlier sibling, such as its window line design, the 2018 Odyssey adds some more glamorous exterior accoutrements like tinted windows and a pair of stylish indentations, carved into the vehicle’s sides and giving it a more aerodynamic look.
Sometimes all it takes to bring out the charm and beauty of a minivan is a great selection of bold-looking paints. Honda doesn’t disappoint, offering grads of refinishing prep training the chance to work with a score of different colours like Pacific Pewter and Deep Scarlet, which make the 2018 Odyssey look like a real beauty.
3. Auto Refinishing Prep Technicians Will Love the 2018 Toyota Sienna
Grads of auto refinishing prep technician training will have a lot of space to work on with this five-meter-long minivan. There are some subtle design differences between the various base, LE, SE, and XLE trims, with the LE and XLE sporting projector-beam style halogen headlamps and side rocker panels. The SE gets a few sportier design qualities, such as headlights with a smoked sport style trim, black front grille with a sport mesh, and some not-too-shabby chrome-accented door handles. The colours an auto refinishing prep technician will have to work with when repainting this minivan will vary by trim, with Midnight Black Metallic available for most trims, while Salsa Red Pearl may only be used for the SE and XLE.
4. The 2018 Kia Sedona Is One Tough Contender
The 2018 Kia may stir up excitement among grads of auto refinishing prep courses. For instance, the body of the 2018 Sedona models are composed of 50 per cent advanced high-strength steel, with LED rear combination lamps coming standard on SX and SX Limited models. Some models also come with newly redesigned and very fashionable forward and rear bumpers, a sleek body-colour rear spoiler, and neat power folding side mirrors that can heat up during the winter. You’ll also have plenty of different paint colour options to work with on this minivan, inlcuding Aurora Black, Platinum Graphite, and Camel Beige—depending on the model!
5. The 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan Will Impress Grads of Auto Body Technician Training
While the 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan isn’t as flashy or alluring as the 2018 Pacifica and Odyssey, it’s on this list for staying true to its classic box-like design. That’s not to say that the 2018 Grand Caravan doesn’t have anything new and exciting about it, having added a new liftgate spoiler, as well as fiercer-looking headlamps and front panel. Grads of auto refinishing prep courses can get their spray guns ready, as the 2018 Caravan comes with a new IndiGo Blue exterior colour option, along with five others!
