BMW Is Going BEV for Half of Its Sales

BMW is still coming to terms with the EV trend that is taking hold of the automotive landscape. While BMW continues to uphold its internal combustion engine vehicles, we can expect a shift towards its top-selling plug-in hybrid models: the X3, X5, 3 Series, 5 Series and 7 Series. BMW also plans to have half of its global sales from BEVs by 2030, starting with the electric 2023 iX SUV and i4 sedan. Your hybrid and electrical mechanic training will prepare you to work on repairing hybrid and electric vehicle computer systems, related to cars like the iX SUV that has zero-emission technology.

GM is Leading the Way for Electric Vehicles

General Motors has major plans to stop selling any gas or diesel engine vehicles by 2035. GM’s Cadillac division is fully devoted to accomplishing that goal, as it made plans to stop production of any new internal-combustion engine models and only update current vehicles as they make that adjustment.
