Read on to find out more about the new 2015 Cadillac Escalade: Hollywood statement car turned suburban family vehicle.
The Escalade: All Grown Up
It’s almost as though Cadillac has built an entirely new model – they’ve held back on all of the shiny chrome details that usually dress up the Escalade and they’ve also made it much quieter. Something that might even surprise graduates of mechanic colleges is that they’ve managed to make this 6000 lbs car a little more fuel efficient! This new Escalade gets approximately 16.2L per 100km when driven on city roads, and 11.4L per 100km when driven on highways – which is pretty impressive when compared to its competitors (and considering its size).
Here you can see a glimpse at the all-new 2015 Escalade in all her glory:
Unbelievable Features
Aside from the gorgeous exterior and the luxuriously trimmed interior, this SUV has so many fantastic features. One of our favourites is the automatic running boards that grace the sides of the car. These fold up when you’re driving, but when you need to ascend or descend, they come down to give you that extra step you’ll need (it is a big truck after all). Now that is service! Another cool feature is the heads-up display which tells you the speed limit of the street that you’re driving on – a great little reminder for when you’re in a hurry. Cadillac’s CUE system is any technology fanatic’s dream, as it comes with 3D navigation, enhanced voice recognition, and it’s also touch screen.
An Interior That Welcomes Large Families
This car is sure to please any family with its incredibly spacious interior. The Escalade is equipped with three rows of seats, and the third row seats are even capable of folding flat (to create more cargo space) at the push of a button. Anyone who has a professional auto career would agree that this is a major improvement from the last model, where the third row seats had to be physically removed for more space.
Crowd-Pleasing Entertainment
There are a few things that entertainment-lovers will definitely appreciate about the new Escalade. This includes the Bose Active Noise Cancellation sound system and the amazing rear-seat entertainment system with dual-play capacity. The entertainment system lets you use a separate set of headphones for each screen – no longer will the kids be arguing over who gets to watch their favourite movie!
