A Word From a Recent Graduate

Nothing pleases us more than hearing from past students and recent graduates, and we were very happy to hear from Gordon Scheepbouwer, who recently took the Automotive Service Operations program. Here’s what Gordon had to say about his experience at the Automotive Training Centre.

Hi,

My name is Gordon Scheepbouwer. I have been a truck driver for the past 33 years. However, due to an injury in the workplace, I found myself having to change careers at the age of 51.

I must say this was a pretty scary proposition at my age, so I decided to attend the Automotive Training Centre and take the Automotive Service Operations course. It is intimidating to go back to school as an adult learner, but I would really like to thank the ATC staff, and especially my instructor Ward MacDougall, for providing the environment and support that made learning easy. My experience gave me the confidence to succeed.

I have just finished my practicum and had a great experience. The training that I received has prepared me for my new career as an entry level Service Advisor

Best Regards,

Gordon Scheepbouwer
