Financing Your Education

Many options are available to pay for your education. Our Financial Advisor can assist you with details for all of these options.

Student Loans& Bursaries – B.C. and Canada student loans are available to qualified students through our school and many of our students apply for and are awarded these loans. While a full-time student with us, you are not required to make loan payments or pay interest so you can focus on your studies. Government student loans are available if you are a Canadian citizen and permanent resident. The Ministry of Advanced Education (http://www.studentaidbc.ca/) has more information and our Financial Advisor can also provide details and application forms.

Employment Insurance Programs –Human Resources Development Canada has funding available to qualified applicants. Our Financial Advisor can tell you more.

Major Canadian Banks or Credit Unions – Most banks provide student lines of credit. You should check with your bank or credit union to see if you qualify.

Christine Galligan Auto Body Collision Estimator

Hello,

My Name Is Christine Galligan and I have recently graduated from the Collision Estimating Course here at ATC .

When I started in this 13-week course, I didn’t know anyone, and I was surrounded by much older people. I came into the course with no knowledge of estimating or what it really was. I was scared to take the course thinking I wouldn’t like it or I would fail because it might be too tough.

During my time at ATC, I made friends who I will always cherish and met a teacher who taught me so much. I thought collision estimating was just writing damage and sending the report but there was much more to it than that, including the different types of damages and how to deal with customers and their cars. Overall I got through it with the help of my teacher and my fellow students. The students and I were all like one big Ohana.  “Ohana” means FAMILY, FAMILY means no one gets left BEHIND or FORGOTTEN. We all had each other’s back and helped everyone get through it and that is what I needed.

I now can take the knowledge and skills I have learned and put it towards my new job at Craftsman Collision and take the skills to the next level.

I want to thank ATC for all their help, and to all of the current and future students coming into the school don’t be afraid that it might not work for you, because trust me, it will always work out. It may seem tough but you are tougher and stronger. Just put your mind to it and you will succeed. Here’s a quote I want to leave with you that helped me get through this course and it may help you in the future. “Don’t Let The Fear Of Striking Out Keep You From Playing The Game.”
