Collision Estimating Salary

The industry standard for a job in auto estimating is $40,000, plus benefits, but the pay scale can increase, depending on the skills and experience of the car estimator.

Learning auto estimating can qualify you for jobs earning up to $40,000 per year, plus benefits

You should also know that any occupation in the service sector is a good bet because government statistics show that a lot of retirements (about 45%) are expected in “Sales & Service and Business”, “Finance and Administration” over the next five years. That means almost one out of every two jobs in those sectors will need to be filled by new employees. Better still, Canada is expected to generate one million new jobs over the next five years – and 75% of those jobs will be in the service sector. In short, if you want to increase your chances of getting employed – and staying employed – a career in a service job like Auto Estimating makes good sense.

Hunain Khan Automotive Service Technician

The length of the program was a key for me, no time wasting. You finish fast, you’re out faster in the trade. I f you have a little knowledge in mechanics, you’ll triple that knowledge in the time you spend there. If you don’t know anything, you’ll still learn what you need to get started. Spending time with instructors that have knowledge and experience makes you get an edge; they always had an answer for the questions I asked, and they backed it up with theory. I like the place, it’s organized, the equipment is sufficient and up-to-date, they have flexible hours and your able to work while doing your schooling. After graduating, I got to work in a garage that mostly handles trucks and when they saw what I could do and what I learned at the school, they knew I was able to do the work. All this because of the way I handled the tools, and the experience I got from all the hands-on knowledge I got at ATC.
