The Interprovincial Standards "Red Seal" Program defines an apprenticeship as "An agreement between a person (an apprentice) who wants to learn a skill and an employer who needs a skilled worker -- "earning while learning."
Apprenticeship is a proven industry-based learning system that combines on-the-job experience with technical training and leads to certification as a journeyperson. On completion of the training period, apprentices receive a Certificate of Qualification. On average, 85% of the apprentice's two to five years of training is spent in the workplace; the rest is spent at a training institution."

I would definitely recommend ATC to anybody looking to get started in the automotive industry. The tuition was cheap and the teachers were forthcoming. The environment was well kept, clean, organized and outside as well. Overall I would do it all over again just to say I did. Good luck to ATC and thanks for everything.

ATC gave me encouragement on the aspects of the trade and plus the instruction gave me the confidence to perform in the shop. I was hired after my practicum at the place that I served it. If a friend of mine asks about schooling I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ATC.
