According to Forbes, the Subaru WRX has the highest overall percentage of Millennial owners. Over 25 per cent of its buyers are aged 18 to 34. Thomas Libby, an analyst at IHS Automotive who tracks retail registration by demographics, explains the car’s popularity: “The WRX’s appeal is a combination of reasonable price, exceptional performance, and the cache of the Subaru brand”.
The Subaru WRX is a performance vehicle with a turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine and symmetrical full-time all wheel drive. The four-cylinder engine features 305 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 240 kilometres per hour. The 2017 Subaru WRX’s pricing starts at $31,760, a much higher price than its favoured counterparts, making it the ideal vehicle for Millennials willing to splurge.

The Honda Civic has been a go-to vehicle for all age groups, even spending 18 years in the number one spot on Canada’s best-selling cars list. Reliability, price, and customization are all factors in why Millennials and other generations are so fond of Civics.

That will likely include the 2017 Honda Civic DX starting at just $16,390 with a 4-cylinder, 158 horsepower engine.
