Auto Body Repair and Paint Courses are a Strong Career Choice

The Automotive Industry remains one of the most important in North America, despite the restructuring that has captured so much attention. There continues to be mass competition, significant advances in technology, including many “green initiatives”, and ongoing demand to repair and service the some 500 million cars that are already on the road. This all adds up to one conclusion: it still pays to pursue any one of three available auto body and paint careers — Refinishing Prep Technician, Auto Body Technician or Automotive Painter.

Elliott Filippelli Auto Body & Refinishing Prep Technician

The past few years have been a roller coaster ride for me as I was unsure of what to do with the rest of my life. I knew that I wanted to be involved with cars in some way, and being an artist, led me to consider an art form in the Automotive Industry. I decided to become an auto body painter. Now that’s exactly what I am as I have successfully graduated from the Automotive Training Centre Auto Body & Refinishing program.

With a whole new love for employment, I have been hired by the company where I completed my Practicum – I am now working Monday to Friday at a job I very much enjoy.
I would like to extend a very special thank you to my teacher, Jason Zemaitis. Without Jason driving me to move forward or his way of teaching which was a perfect fit for me, I would not be where I am today.
