Rauh-Welt Begriff

17 years ago, Nakai-san opened a small body-shop in Chiba-Ken, located in the countryside, in the Kanto region of Japan. His obsession with Porsche began when he decided to customize his own Porsche 930, which he had named Stella. This transformative experience made him want to work on other Porsches, and he soon began developing special designs for the Porsche 964 and 993. At first, he wasn’t sure his customization of Porsche models would become popular, but his hard work, drive, dedication and sheer ingenuity allowed him to stand out, make a name for himself and realize his dreams. Simply put, no other cars looked quite like those that came out of Nakai-san’s body-shop!

Today, Rauh-Welt Begriff’s custom Porsche 911 are a staple of the racing circuits of Japan. On a good day, you can even spot one out on the streets. More importantly, Rauh-Welt Begriff’s worldwide reputation is well-established, and Nakai-san is frequently asked to collaborate on various projects, either in Japan or abroad. His expertise and unique flair for design make him truly one of the greats in the field of car tuning. Nakai-san still assigns a unique tuning to each car he works on, which helps determine what the car’s personality and feel should be. When asked which creation is his favourite, he usually replies that his first creation, Stella, will always have a special place in his heart.

The Porsche 993 turbo

The Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 993 turbo that Nakai-san is working on will make its debut at Eurokracy Montreal, a yearly automotive event that unites brands like Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Volvo, Mercedes and more for one day in late June. Already, it’s easy to see that the car will be attracting students of auto mechanic courses and making other car owners envious.

Nakai-san’s Porsche 993 turbo features a prominent spoiler, which gives the car a very aggressive nature. Under the hood, the engine now has two bigger turbos, which required the team to modify the exhaust and improve the cooling system. Custom wheels and several other body modifications have since been added.

Students of auto mechanic schools, what do you think of Rauh-Welt Begriff’s wild custom Porsche designs?
