Q & A Lunch with ATC Owner Dean Croft

Over a delicious lunch in April at the ATC Toronto Campus, Dean opened up and we got to know him on a whole new level!

Dean CroftWhat made you decide to get into the automotive industry?

Dean: I’ve always loved cars and fixed them as far back as when I was 15-16 years old.

If you were stuck on an island and you could only bring 3 things, what would they be?

Dean: Food, water and a woman.

Favorite car?

Dean: 1966 Pontiac GTO blue convertible with white interior

You pick’em good!

Dean: Yup. When I was 16, I saw a bunch of American boys in a convertible driving by with blonde girls in their arms. That’s when I knew I wanted to get in the car business.

Where do you see the business going – technology wise?

Dean: Diesel, Hybrid… no matter the technology, we will always be fixing cars.

Favorite vacation spot?

Dean: Hawaii. Its mild weather and beautiful beaches.

Watersport?

Dean: I used to do a lot of waterskiing when I was young. Not so much anymore.

Thanks for the chat Dean. One last question… in a sentence – lasting impression of ATC Toronto.

Dean: Great to see an enthusiastic and passionate bunch of people – instructors, Admissions, management and administrators – I’ll be coming back in May!

We all love to have you back in Toronto Dean, safe trip home!
