Automakers usually package such cars as unique, special edition vehicles reserved only for their luxury-caliber clients. While only a select few can actually dish out the money for a supercar, we all certainly love to read about them!

2016 BMW i9 Succeeds the i8
While the production of this particular supercar still stands as a rumour, we remain excited for its potential arrival. As the successor to BMW’s i8 model, the i9 has reportedly been approved for production sometime in 2016. The car will likely boast a similar carbon fibre tub as the i8; however, it will feature a brand new modular 3.0-litre engine. The engine will collaborate with an electric motor to generate and produce more power. Reports suggest that the i9 will reach approximately 500 horsepower and will be capable of going from 0 to 60mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds. Any experienced automotive service technician can confirm that this would be quite an impressive feat, since the i8 was only able to go from 0 to 60mph in 4.4 seconds.
A Bentley SUV is in the Works
Yes—you read that correctly. British automaker Bentley Motors, has finally given in to the ever-persistent SUV trend. In true Bentley fashion, this SUV is set to be one of the most expensive and luxurious in the world. In fact, professionals in automotive careers believe that it will be even more expensive than its current Porsche and Mercedes competitors. The car will total five metres in length and drivers will have the choice of purchasing it with either a V8 or a V12 petrol engine. Bentley is expected to start production for its new SUV by 2016.
2016 Ferrari FF Coupe Set to Impress Auto Fans
It really wouldn’t be an article about supercars without mention of the ultimate manufacturer of supercars, would it? The 2016 Ferrari FF Coupe will be similar to the Italian automaker’s last FF model, only without a rear seat. Of course, the vehicle’s body is expected to be much sleeker than its predecessor, and it will boast Ferrari’s signature sloping roofline. Graduates of mechanic programs know that this particular feature is one that was lost on the automaker’s last FF model.
While extensive details have yet to be released by Ferrari, the new supercar will likely feature a 6.3-litre V12 engine and ultimately reach about 650 horsepower.
